Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information CabZo collects, how we use it, and your choices. It also covers an important safety point: we help you find rides, but we don’t verify riders — that’s on you.

1. Who we are
CabZo is a platform that helps office commuters find colleagues heading the same way, share a cab and split the fare. We only connect people who are looking to carpool — we do not operate vehicles, employ drivers, or provide transport ourselves.
2. Information we collect
- Account details — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo.
- Contact details — the phone number you provide so matched riders can coordinate a trip.
- Ride details — pickup and drop locations, direction, date, time, number of seats and fare preference you enter when posting or looking for a ride.
- Preferences — optional details such as preferred rider gender and interests you choose to share.
- Usage data — basic technical information (like device and browser type) collected automatically to keep the service secure and working.
3. How we use your information
- To match you with relevant rides and riders.
- To show your ride details and contact number to other signed-in users so a shared trip can be arranged.
- To operate, maintain, improve and secure the service.
- To communicate with you about your rides, account or important service updates.
4. How we share your information
Your name, photo, ride details and — once you choose to connect — your phone number are visible to other signed-in CabZo users so they can arrange a shared ride. We do not sell your personal information. We use trusted service providers (such as authentication and hosting/database providers) to run the platform, and we may disclose information where required by law.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us.
6. Your choices & rights
You can review or update the information on your profile, choose what optional details to share, and request access to or deletion of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, reach out to us through the feedback page.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Important: we don't verify riders
CabZo is only a tool that helps you discover and connect with other commuters to share a cab in a professional manner. We do not verify, vet, screen or run background checks on any rider, driver or vehicle listed on the platform.
It is entirely your responsibility to verify the identity, trustworthiness and details of any rider before you share a ride. Please confirm who you are travelling with, meet in safe locations and use your own judgement.
CabZo is not responsible in any way for the conduct of users, the safety, condition or legality of any ride, or for any loss, injury, dispute or damage arising from a shared ride. You use the platform and travel with others entirely at your own risk.
9. Third-party services
CabZo relies on third-party services — including Google for sign-in and maps — which have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.
10. Children
CabZo is intended for working professionals and is not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of CabZo after changes means you accept the updated policy.
